Tribute Performance Dedicated to Health Care Workers of Baptist Health South Florida

In honor of the thousands of front line heroes serving our community via Baptist Health South Florida, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami (DDTM) presents to Baptist Health, the largest healthcare system in South Florida, a pre-recorded virtual performance dedicated their  organization of staff and volunteers in recognition of their bravery and in thanks for their selfless commitment to our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was shown throughout the Baptist Health System on Friday August 7th, 2020.

Choreography includes sentimental audience favorites meant to comfort, instill hope, and inspire. First on the program is “Vow,” choreographed by Ariel Rose of Miami City Ballet, which DDTM has performed at the renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. Immediately following will be “Apollo & Daphne,” by Ben Needham-Wood, which DDTM recently streamed live for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ “Arts Across America” digital performance series.

This tribute performance was coordinated by DDTM’s Artistic Directors Jennifer Kronenberg and Carlos Guerra, and features dancers Claudia Lezcano, Fabian Morales, Mayrel Martinez, and Maikel Hernández.

DDTM’s Artistic Directors, dancers, and choreographers, all volunteered their time to produce this project. A safe, private, open area for recording was generously donated by Alexa Marino de Bacardi and Family. Musical accompaniment was donated and provided remotely by Inesa Gegprifti and Anthony Seepersad.  DDTM strictly adhered to social distancing guidelines during production, using only company artists who are sheltering together for the performance. DDTM is grateful to all involved for contributing to the creation of this very special event.
